The Braveheart Advocate maintains contact with the family throughout the life of their case, which at times may last up to two years, or as long as the family requests. Braveheart works cooperatively with agency service providers to make referrals based on the needs of the child and their family. Our kiddos come first in Braveheart's eyes!
READ MOREHenry and Bureau County offices provide specialized mental health on site at NO COST to clients or families from all five counties. Braveheart CAC also provides referrals for mental health/therapy providers throughout the five county areas.
READ MOREThe MDT Coordinator at Braveheart CAC assists the child victim advocate by updating the status of our cases on a continual basis, advocating for our familes concerns/needs with multidisciplinary team members/service providers, and provides emotional support to all MDT members in all five county areas.
READ MOREThe type of interviews conducted at Braveheart CAC is called forensic. This means they are neutral and fact finding. Braveheart CAC has a trained and licensed forensic interviewer on site who has been in the social work field for over 30 years that helps our child victims through what could be the worst times in their little lives in a professional mannor.
READ MOREThe Executive Director works tirlessly behind the scenes to ensure the stability of Braveheart CAC'. Countless hours are spend making sure that we can be the best children's advocacy center we can be through grant writing, leadership, budgeting, etc.
READ MOREBraveheart CAC's team members consist of law enforcement, DCFS, State’s Attorney’s Offices, medical partners, and other resourses in the area that our families might need. Because we serve five counties in Illinois, we must be in communication with each discipline on a daily basis.
